questions.
What it is, how sharing actually works, and what it deliberately doesn't do.
the basics
What is WYAMN?
WYA, mn? (also written WYAMN) is a free social app for making spontaneous plans. You post what you're doing, where and when; you get one link; you share that link on Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp or anywhere else; and whoever's free taps once to say they're in.
What does WYAMN stand for?
It's how people write the phrase the product is named after: Where You At, mn? The WYA part is the question everyone already texts. The mn we don't explain.
How does WYAMN work?
Three steps. You write what you're doing, where, when, and how many people it fits — about nine seconds of typing. WYA, mn? gives you a link and a Story image. You post either one wherever your friends already look. When someone taps 'I'm interested', you're told, and they're in.
Who is WYAMN for?
People who want to go out more than they actually do. It's built for existing friend groups, courses, teams and houses rather than for meeting strangers, and it works best for plans happening today or this week.
Is WYAMN free?
Yes. There's no paid tier, no ads, and nothing to unlock. You don't need an account to look at a plan someone sent you — only to say you're coming.
using it
How do I create a plan?
Open wyamn.lol, make an account, and press 'make a plan'. You fill in four things: what you're doing, where, when, and how many people it fits. There's no title, no description and no cover photo to choose. You can add one line of note if you want.
How does joining a plan work?
Open the link and press 'I'm interested'. If you don't have an account you'll be asked to make one, and your tap is remembered and applied the moment you finish — you don't have to find the plan again. The host is notified. Tapping again withdraws you.
What happens when a plan fills up?
The button stops accepting people and the plan reads as full, on the page and in the link preview. Capacity is enforced by the database, so two people tapping at the same instant for the last spot can't both get in.
Can people see a plan without an account?
Yes. Anyone with the link can read the plan, see the time and place, and see how many spots are left. An account is only needed to say you're coming, so that the host knows who it is.
sharing a plan
Can I share a plan on Instagram?
Yes, and it's the main way people use it. For a Story, WYA, mn? generates a 1080×1920 image of your plan that you save and post, then add a link sticker with the plan link. For a DM or a post, paste the link — it unfurls into a card showing the plan.
Can I use WYAMN with Snapchat?
Yes. You can send the plan link into a Snapchat chat directly from the share sheet, or save the Story image and post it to your Story with the link. As with every app, you post it yourself — no website can publish to your Snapchat on your behalf.
Where else can I share a plan?
WhatsApp and WhatsApp Status, X, Threads, Facebook and Facebook Stories, Reddit, TikTok, and your phone's own share sheet, which reaches anything you have installed. Copy Link works everywhere else.
Does WYAMN post to social media for me?
No, and no app can. None of the platforms allow a website to publish a Story or a post on your behalf. WYA, mn? does everything up to that point: it builds the right image at the right size, saves it to your phone, copies the link ready to paste, and opens the app.
how it's different
Is WYAMN an event-management platform?
No. There are no tickets, no RSVP deadlines, no attendee management and no venue listings. A plan holds between two and fifty people, is usually for the same day or the same week, and disappears from view once it's happened.
What makes WYAMN different from Meetup?
Meetup is a destination: people go there to find organised events, often with strangers, usually scheduled well ahead. WYA, mn? is a distribution layer: it makes one link that you post on the social apps your friends already use, for something happening tonight. Nobody has to visit WYA, mn? to see your plan.
What makes WYAMN different from a group chat?
In a group chat, asking is public and answering is public. Everyone sees the question, nobody wants to be the first to say no, and the plan dies in silence. A plan link inverts it: you state where you'll be, and interest is expressed by one private tap rather than by a reply everyone reads.
practical
Can I use WYAMN in Japan?
Yes. It runs in any browser with nothing to install, times are shown on the clock at the place the plan is happening, and the pages explaining it are available in Japanese. The interface itself is currently in English.
Can I use WYAMN in the United States?
Yes, anywhere. There's no region restriction and no app store to wait on — a plan is a web link, so it opens on any phone.
Is my plan private?
By default a plan is link-only: it's visible to whoever you send the link to, and it's excluded from search engines and from our sitemap. You can choose to put a plan on the public board instead, and only those plans are indexable.
Can I close or delete a plan?
Yes. As the host you can close a plan to stop new people joining, reopen it, or delete it entirely. Deleting removes everyone's interest in it as well.
